X-Ray Message Plates for Airport Screeners are carry on communication
Tired of waiting in the security lines at the airport? Tired of having your laptop scanned? Well now, you can do more than use a checkpoint-friendly bag. In fact, you can send a little message to the scanner operators!

These message plates are described as a “carry on” communication system. Made from metal, they display messages for the X-Ray to pick up when run through the scanning machine. All you have to do is place the plate in your bag and it is sure to attract some attention.
Now, of course, these are not something you can go buy and it’s probably not a good idea to do it in the first place. However, artist Evan Roth has developed this project and will soon be documenting it in real world situations. Pretty funny stuff and sure to make some sort of a statement, at the very least.
