Two New Short Throw Projectors From NEC

NEC has announced two new short throw projectors to its range in the form of the wide-format NP510WS and standard-aspect NP610S. Designed specifically for educational facilities and corporate applications that require a short throw distance in classrooms and conference rooms, these projectors provides a native resolution of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels, 600:1 contrast ratio, 2100 ANSI lumens (NP510WS), 2600 ANSI lumens (NP610S) and up to 5000 hours of lamp life (in ECO mode). In addition, they also come with a built-in 7W speaker and several connectivity ports including VGA, DVI-I, HDCP, RCA, S-Video and Ethernet. The NP510WS and NP610S will start shipping in January 2010 for an estimated street price of $949 and $999, respectively. [HighTechReview]
