Samsung gets new chipsets from Nanoradio for its 3G, UMA phones

Samsung’s 3G P270 that supports UMA, will feature chipsets made by Nanoradio. The phone will be based on the “Always On WiFi” chipset and is touted to be the first 3G that supports UMA and WiFi. Besides this innovative phone, the 2.5G Samsung P250 will also feature UMA support. Apparently, the new chip consumes lesser power, hence offers more standby and talk time and thus a longer lasting battery. Anything that makes our 3G cell phones work longer is always welcome.
Availability:
The Samsung P270 and P250 will be available in Europe very soon.
