Samsung contemplating to take over SanDisk

World’s largest NAND flash memory maker, Samsung Electronics is thinking to buy out SanDisk to further expand its memory business. Both the parties refrain from confirming or denying the news but both agree of talking to each other “for potential business opportunities”. The business opportunities are unclear but if this one goes through, Samsung will be the major beneficiary. Firstly, they will be free from paying royalty fees to SanDisk for manufacturing NAND flash memory and secondly they can eat up SanDisk’s market share in digital audio player market.
