Rogers to launch iPhone on Monday in Canada
As Steve Jobs takes the stage on Monday and the rest of us bleed with anticipation wondering what new products he’ll announce, Rogers Wireless will be having a ball with the official launch of the iPhone in Canada. So far, Rogers is the exclusive carrier of the fruit phone in Canada, and for sure will be all but humble about it once Monday arrives.
Rogers Wireless first announced that they will be launching the iPhone some time this year about a month ago. Back then, we still had a very sketchy idea of what the iPhone 2.0 will offer, which is obviously not the case nowadays.

What’s not clear though, is whether Rogers will be launching the next-gen version of the iPhone, with 3G network support and a host of other features that a lot of people have long been crying about. There is also no info on pricing yet, and whether they’ll offer a 3-year lock in period for the phone.
Currently, Rogers is the only GSM provider in Canada, and this puts them in the unique position to market the highly coveted Apple iPhone. Be sure to check back Monday for more about the iPhone launch in Canada.
