Philips Xenium X500 is simple and useful
Philips mobile phones are known for coming with really powerful batteries, and the new Philips Xenium X500 is no exception.
This baby has a 1720 mAh battery that’s supposed to provide a talk-time of up to 16 hours or a stand-by time of no less than two months. Also, the battery should last up to 40 hours in music playback mode, so if you ever have a 2-day insomnia, the phone can surely keep you entertained (assuming you’re listening to “happy music” on it).
The X500 not only has a long-lasting battery, but also an attractive candybar design. Unfortunately, most of its specs are not exactly the ones to crave for, but I guess they won’t disappoint users who don’t search for the latest and greatest features.
So, the specs of Philips Xenium X500 are:
-
GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz)
-
1.8 inch TFT display with 262K colors and 176 x 220 pixels
-
Music player, FM radio with RDS
-
Bluetooth
-
1.3 Megapixel camera, with video recording (but only at a 176 x 144 pixel resolution)
-
10MB of built-in memory + microSD card support (2GB maximum)
-
106 x 42 x 17.8 millimeters
Philips Xenium X500 will first be commercialized across China, in the near future, and it’s said to also go to Russia and other Eastern European countries. The candybar’s price is not known for the moment.
