Peanut Butter PC
You risk peanut butter (or worse) on the keyboard when you let little ones play computer games. But you risk a lot more if they accidentally open your productivity applications. Whoops! There goes this year’s tax data! Peanut Butter PC aims to let your 3- to 7-year-olds use specific games and Web sites while locking them out of everything else.
Simple Setup
On installation a setup wizard breezes through the initial configuration. You define a log-in name for each child in the household and optionally add a picture. You’ll have to supply the pictures yourself; there are no predefined icons like those in NoodleNet or configurable avatars as found in KidZui. You select the programs and Web sites the children can use from lists based on your Start Menu and Internet Explorer Favorites. And that’s it—you’re ready to go.
