NETGEAR introduces NETGEAR Stora MS2110
NETGEAR made several product announcements today at CES 2010 and we managed to snap up some pictures of the new products at the Digital Experience event tonight at the Mirage. We’ll get even more info as the show starts tomorrow but in the meantime, here are tidbits about two of their new products. First, we’ll start things off with the new NETGEAR Stora MS2110.
Features include:
- Easy-to-use home media storage server for the consumer space
- Allows users to access, back up and centralize photos, music, movies, and files from nearly any network device
- User interface for both local and remote users
- Content can be shared with other devices on the network such as TVs, game consoles, digital photo frames.
- 1080p Blu-ray streams can be viewed on media players such as the NETGEAR Digital Entertainer platform
- DLNA certification
- Two drive bays with the unit coming with a single 1 terabyte disk. Add a second drive for mirroring
- The company expects to launch a 2 terabyte version shortly
Other specs include:
- Two SATA channels
- Compatible with SATA and SATA II Hard Drives
- Gigabit Ethernet support
- USB 2.0 port
- 256MB of flash memory
- Supports Windows, Macs, Linux/Unix
- Browser-based interface
- RAID 1 support
- Windows Media 7 compliant
The MS2110 has suggested price of $229.99 – not bad for a two drive NAS.
