MSI reckons WiMAX to be big in India, will roll out WiMAX laptops in 2010

Sony India had confirmed their interest to launch WiMAX-enabled laptops and now here’s a confirmation from the Taiwanese notebook maker. The WiMAX Forum report predicts the WiMAX market in India to reach up to $13 billion by 2012 and capture about 20% of world’s WiMAX user base. MSI sees this as a great opportunity and wants to headstart by providing WiMAX ready notebooks early.
Starting from January 2010, all notebooks launching under MSI’s U-Series, X-slim Series and classic series will boast WiMAX connectivity.
MSI currently has WiMAX Forum certified X340 and X600 notebooks and Wind U120 touted to be the world’s first netbook with WiMAX.
