LiMo forms Korean Association, will launch the Samsung SCH-M510 via SKT
LiMo Foundation announced the establishment of the Korean LiMo Ecosystem Association, together with major Korean mobile companies including Samsung, LG and SK Telecom.
The role of the Korean LiMo Ecosystem Association, which is supported by the Korean Government, is to “fully catalyze and empower innovation upon the LiMo Platform within the Korean mobile industry.”
As part of the new Korean initiative, LiMo foundation and SK Telecom will soon launch the Samsung SCH-M510 – Korea’s first LiMo phone.
Samsung SCH-M510 (not to be mistaken for the old Samsung SPH-M510) features a 3.5 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, accelerometer, Wi-Fi, support for various audio and video media types, Bluetooth and a 5MP camera with autofocus.
Unfortunately, there’s no image of the SCH-M510 available yet, but the specs suggest that the phone may be the Korean version of Vodafone’s Samsung H1.
