LG Chocolate 3 to be released July 14th by Verizon

Part of a trio of new phones that’ll be released by LG this quarter, the LG Chocolate 3 will start selling for Verizon on July 14th.

The LG Chocolate 3 is the latest installment in LG’s growing music-centric Chocolate series of phones, and unlike first two phones that it follows, it’ll sport a clamshell form factor instead of a slider.

This little model isn’t music-avert, though, and features a nifty 3.5mm headphone port, 1GB of internal memory, microSDHC card support up to 8GB and stereo speakers. The outer flap of the clamshell also touts a navigation wheel just under the 1.76-inch 176 x 220 pixel external display.

And there are even more features lying on the inside. The main display is QVGA and measures 2.2-inches, there’s a 2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.1 also on board.

Like the Nokia N78, the LG Chocolate 3 will also boast a built-in FM Transmitter, enabling users to beam their music to any nearby FM radio, whether it be another cellphone or one that’s in their car.

The LG Chocolate 3 will cost $299 full retail, $129 after $50 rebate with a 2-year contact, and $199 after $50 rebate with a 1-year contract.
