iPhone App News: Copy/Paste deprived iPhone is a thing of past

MagicPad is an application for our beloved â€˜over-hyped iPhoneâ€™. Itâ€™ll take care of your copy/paste woes. MagicPad has been submitted to Apple for verification so that it can be added to App Store. This text editor is capable of allowing user to change fonts, text sizes, text color, make text bold and italic, and add effects like underline and strike-through. Best feature offered by MagicPad is that it allows you to copy and paste text, in similar or different document, something that was due for long. Such features make MagicPad first rich text editor for the iPhone.

Sadly, MagicPad supports these functions only within application, which means you cannot use copy/paste feature unless you are working on MagicPad. Though, the company is willing to enhance their app to work across the entire iPhone, like integrating this app with default keyboard but iPhone SDKâ€™s limitations are stopping them from doing so efficiently. Still these guys at Proximi have managed to make MagicPad work with few preloaded native apps, videos for which will be soon available at Appâ€™s official site. Hopefully, this app will go live soon.

iPhone App Review: EasyWriter

Sometimes the more basic an iPhone app is, the better it is. There are plenty of things missing on the iPhone that have consumers up in arms, and luckily as time goes by we find more and more apps to help fill those voids.

One such example is EasyWriter. This particular application enables users to type emails in landscape mode instead of portrait mode. This is important to many people because of the small size of the iPhone’s keyboard. By changing the keyboard to landscape mode, the keys get larger and the space between each key widens.

When a user launches EasyWriter, they are brought into a blank screen with a touch keyboard that moves to landscape mode. After typing the email like normal, simply press the “send to mail” button in the top right corner and it pastes the entire message into a regular email form. Choose the intended recipient and send it off.

Such a simple concept, yet it fills a need for many iPhone users. If you find yourself getting frustrated when sending emails, I definitely recommend downloading it. EasyWriter is available in the App Store for free.
