Here is another “Alien technology” from Tokyoflash that comes in the form of the Tokyoflash NI Watch. The watch’s case is entirely made from stainless steel with a polished finish. The timepiece features a slimline case, strap and a simple buckle that allow it to wrap comfortably around your wrist. I will show you how to read this watch. Each LED on the lowest line displays two hours and the line above indicates a single hour. The combination of these two lines indicates the current hour. You can also see the groups of 10 minutes that are presented on the center line and single minutes on the upper two lines. Available in all blue LED, all white LED or red and green LED, the Tokyoflash NI watch retails for $144 each. [GeekAlerts]

This new watch from Germany’s Botta Design can’t be bothered with two full rotations of the hour hand over the course of a 24 hour day.

The Botta UNO 24 uses a single pointy hand that rotates at 1/2 the speed of a normal watch, letting you view all 24 hours of the day without a 2nd time around the dial.

Each of the 24 hours and hash marks on the face of the watch correspond to the position of the Sun in the sky. And the time can be read within 5 minutes of accuracy with just a single hand (clearly, the UNO 24 isn’t for the detail oriented).

Each UNO 24 is crafted from a stainless steel body with a RONDA Swiss movement and a durable sapphire mineral glass crystal. Water resistance is rated at 3 ATM, and the watches available with either a leather or stainless steel band.
The UNO 24 will start shipping this December, and can be pre-ordered from Watchismo with prices starting at $395 USD.

Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome has released something new and amazingly awesome in the “Moon Dust-DNA” collection. It’s a collection of 1969 timepieces that includes watches made from such things as moon dust, parts of the Apollo 11 rocket and even pieces actual spacesuits. Why 1969 timepieces? That was the year of the first moon landing.
The dials feature tiny craters with dust in them from moon rocks, the cases include bits of steel from the Apollo 11 space shuttle and the strap gets the same treatment, containing fibers from a spacesuit worn during the ISS mission. So if you want to get yourself several pieces of things that have actually been in space, this is a good way to do it. Pricing for the Moon Dust-DNA watches is also out of this world, starting at $15,000 and goes as high as $500,000.

Do you long for the days of carrying around a giant sound system on your shoulders? This watch brings back fond boombox memories without the risk of back injury.

Flüd’s Boombox watch looks like a tiny version of the “portable” stereos of days gone by. Keeping with the retro theme, the watch features a truly old school 7-segment red LED display that looks like it came right out of the 1970s.

I only wish the tiny little speakers actually worked, so I could crank up some Grandmaster Flash and get down to some poppin’ and lockin’ any old time.
The Boombox watch is available in either a shiny silvertone or gunmetal grey design, and sells for $90 USD over on Flüd.

Most of us have a pretty boring routine. Designer Andy Kurovets had some fun with that fact with this watch that leads the user through the six stages of their average day. It starts with Wake Up!, then leads us through our commute. Next we are sitting at a PC at work, before eventually returning home to watch TV and finally going to bed.
Each stage lights up red at the proper time of day, so you know where you should be. If that’s too depressing for you, or if you get amnesia and forget your daily grind, it also features a regular readout of hours and minutes. It’s just a concept, but it’s a watch that fits most peoples mundane schedule.

Fans of The Man Of Steel can now get this awesome Stainless Steel Watch with Superman’s logo on it. The watch comes with a black enamel bezel featuring a metallic silver dial with the embossed shield logo, in the same style as the classic Christopher Reeve movie.
The red number markers have been applied on the dial, and the watch comes with glow-in-the-dark hands. Comes complete with a metal box with the Superman logo, and each watch comes with a Certificate of Authenticity numbered to just 500 pieces. So these are rarer then pieces of Superman’s home planet Krypton. It’s expected to ship in Febrary 2009 and can now be pre-ordered for $33.99.

Here’s the latest from Tokyoflash, who aims to start a fire on your wrist. This one is designed vertically with Yellow LEDs that will tell you the hours, red LEDs indicate groups of 10 minutes and the green LEDs indicate single minutes. As always, hard to read for some, but very stylish and futuristic. It features an adjustable strap and they claim that it’s so comfortable you barely know it’s on your wrist. You can get yours for a limited time only launch price of about $130.

If you read Technabob regularly, you know that one of my favorite places to shop for cool geek art is over on Etsy. While I know I can find lots of nifty handcrafted goodies over there, I didn’t expect to find these.

Created by Swedish designer David Ericsson, VOID Watches are the embodiment of clean modern design. Each watch in the new V.01 collection features a bold face design with an off-center grey-on-black LCD screen. According to Ericsson, the V.01’s half-glass / half-stainless face “could represent the duality of life; like the yin and yang, the past and future, love and hate, right or wrong.” Or it could just represent a very cool way to tell time.

The VOID V.01 retails for $185 USD (including worldwide shipping) and comes in four bold color schemes. The display is protected by a durable mineral glass crystal and the stainless body sits on a genuine leather band. They’re available in a very limited edition of 500 pieces each, and you can get your hands on one of these beauties over on David’s Etsy shop.
