For some reason, humans like to put their own unique stamp on everything so they can stand out. Just look at all the tech add-ons that personalize their gadgets. And after centuries of tattooing their bodies, it’s time to tattoo the ole crapper.
Toilet tattoos are printed on a plastic film that sticks electrostatically to your plastic seat lid. They can be easily removed and changed or cleaned. They offer a variety of patterns and images, including holiday themes, so you can change the look of your can to match the season. Personally, I would want the frogs one, but I would want the image to change automatically. They would start off as happy frogs, but after somebody does their business and adds a few logs to the pond, the frogs would keel over and fall off their branch. Then when the smell dissipates, they would be happy again. See, it’s not only pretty, but kinda like a refuse radiation detector as well.

It seems as though Japan has an obsession with incorporating as much technology as possible when performing the most basic human function.
Toto says that their Neoflush 600 “turns the ordinary into extraordinary”, and “Sophisticated sensuality”… hmm… sensuality and toilet are two words I would have never put in a sentence together. What is it this toilet actually does for you?? (more…)

No the BS doesn’t stand for what you think it does, it stands for Bluetooth stereo, which is what these two units are, stereo speakers that get their audio primarily from Bluetooth sources. One of them is clearly more mobile than the other, but they both crank out 3D Surround Sound.

The technology is called “Hyper 3-Channel Surround Sound with Euphony Technology”, but basically it’s the same virtual surround sound that we are all used to. However, in case you’ve forgot, it makes it sound like you are in the center of the sound regardless of where you are in relation to the device, as long as you aren’t behind it and are in the same room.
The 900 actually won a Best of Innovations award at CES this year, and it has 10 watts output coming from the speakers an analog line-in for those that don’t have Bluetooth audio as an option, and a USB port for hooking up your MP3 Player. The 300 sports Samsung’s new DNSe engine, an only weighs 2.2 ounces and can also act as a hand-free calling unit. The BS300 is already out, and the BS900 should be available sometime in the first half of this year, no price for the 900 though.

Cambridge Audio unveiled some new audio components at CES this past week, a combo in fact, the Azur, 840W amp and a matching 840E pre-amp. The power amp is class XD (that’s right, it’s an emoticon).

It will crank out 200 watts at 8 Ohms, or 500 watts into 8 Ohms bridged mono. There are 8 inputs and the volume works per decibel, which is nice.

This is an amazing piece of audio equipment and should go nicely with the numerous high end speaker announcements that undoubtedly came out of CES this past week. If you want one, it will cost a thousand pounds for the amp and 750 for the pre-amp.
