Hummer Tank will crush you

Hummer Tank will crush youIf you thought your Hummer was tough, think again. I bet you never considered outfitting it with tank treads. Engineers have added aftermarket track belts in place of the standard wheels. You can do this yourself. You might lose some speed and your MPG will go down drastically, but you’ll be able to crush anything in your way. And I’m assuming these treads make it a giant snowmobile too.

Beware the pink tank: It shoots hot dogs

pink tank: It shoots hot dogs30 year-old Philadelphia guy Vin Marshall and nine of his friends built this 2,000-pound replica tank from junkyard parts, complete with a functioning pneumatic cannon that fires hot dogs. Believe it or not it moves using pedal power. It has enough room to fit hardware for six peddlers and yield about 1.5 horsepower.

Problem is that’s not enough to move tank treads, so they decided to use wheels instead. Then they gave it bicycle-like gearing to get more power from less exertion. When parade day arrived it all worked out and they were able to move along at 15 mph with a full load. It cost about $3000 to build. Why pink? I have no idea. Maybe because it fits the whole hot dog theme. I didn’t see any specs on how many dogs per minute it fires, but just the fact that it does it is impressive. Check out a video below.

Steampunk mouse looks like a killer tank

Steampunk mouse looks like a killer tank
This steampunk mouse definitely looks like a tank. It’s a Russian built tank/mouse and actually looks like the kind of steampunk tank that Russia might have constructed.

Having began life as a plain black mouse, it’s all brass and leather now. It even has little porthole type windows. The modder even went so far as to pimp the usb connection to match, which is a nice touch. I don’t think you could use it comfortably, but this thing is probably better turned into an RC steampunk tank anyhow.

r/c tank delivers beer and bullets

This radio-controlled tank proves that armored military vehicles don’t always carry a deadly payload. In fact, this one delivers a cold, frosty one instead.

Remote Control Beer Tank

The beverage bearing R/C tank doesn’t really care if you drink Bud Light or Bawls, but it will make sure your thirst is quenched, thanks to its 4 built-in can holders.

Not only can it deliver delicious drinks, the little tank can fire 6mm BB bullets at targets up to 90 feet away. That’s right, don’t mess with my Brewskis! Thankfully, there’s a flashing warning light that lets you know to get the heck out of the way. Of course, these Engrish warnings from the manual don’t make me feel too warm and fuzzy about the safety of this thing.

Beer Tank Engrish Warnings

Did I happen to mention that it’s amphibious? Yep, the tank can travel on land or in the water, thanks to a retractable 4-wheel drive mechanism.

When you get near a body of H2O, just flip a switch on the remote and the wheels retract as the tank converts to boat mode (although they do get in the way of the drink holders when stowed).

So what’s not to like? You can find the beer-toting, gun-packing, land-driving, water-floating R/C tank here for £44.99 (appx. $92 USD).

Four-way USB Hub…with a fish

Four-way USB Hub…with a fish
Sometimes it’s like they just combine stuff together and hope the end result is great. I can’t decide if this combo of fish and USB hub is proof of designers on drugs or brilliance.

But, if you are lacking a little fish friend in your life, maybe this one’s for you, fake fish and all. It’s even got a few shells, some greenery and real water. If that’s not enough, it illuminates, cycling through four different colors. It will only cost you $12 and there’s no danger at all of you killing it from lack of attention.

Logitech intros Cordless Vantage Headset, MediaBoard Pro for PS3

Filed under:

Following up on the original Cordless MediaBoard, Logitech has recently unveiled the Bluetooth-enabled MediaBoard Pro and tossed in the Cordless Vantage Headset for good measure. These PS3 peripherals make chatting it up whilst gaming quite an easy feat, and while the rechargeable headset provides “an ambidextrous behind-the-head design and an adjustable noise canceling microphone,” the MediaBoard Pro sports a piano black finish, a dedicated Menu button, and of course, the circle / square / X / triangle buttons as well. As for the headset (shown after the break), expect it to land this November in the US (December for Europe) for $79.99, while the new ‘board should hit both markets in October for the same price.
