It’s compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 and runs on Windows ME/2000/XP/Vista or Mac OS X 10.2 and higher. It will cost you $63.

Looking for a new way to unleash your creative freedom? Check out this wacky camera which lets you combine multiple images onto a single frame of film.

The Lomo Split-Cam uses special adjustable light blockers which let you prevent the top, bottom, left or right section of standard 35mm film from being exposed before advancing to the next frame. A matching set of blinders on the viewfinder let you see exactly what your cropped areas will look like.

Sure, you can put the head of your cat on the body of your dog, but if you really want to see some creative uses, check out the Flickr Split-Cam gallery for lots of nifty multiple exposure techniques.

You can find the Split-Cam over on FredFlare for just $20 bucks.

I-O Data brings 8X BD writer

After Buffalo introduced their set of 8X BD writers, I-O Data steps up and launches the same flavored internal ones. BRD-P8 series will support SATA interface and is capable to burn single as well as dual layer BD discs at 8X. That’s just 14 minutes to burn massive data. For single layer DVDs, it can record at a speed of 16X while dual layer recording is done at 8X.

The price set by I-O Data is the same as Buffalo’s burner, so it’s the loyalty factor which will come in handy to sell these drives. Available in black or white.

rubber ducky mouse for your inner bert or ernie

The rubber ducky mouse is a mouse that has a little duck floating in some blue liquid at the bottom, to make your computing experience a tad more whimsical.

Rubber Ducky Mouse

Rubber duckies always, always, always make me think of Bert and Ernie. I guess I just watched too much Sesame Street as a child. Just seeing this mouse got Ernie’s Rubber Ducky song stuck in my head for like 4 hours.

Bert and Ernie

I came across this item on uncommongoods. It’s an optical USB mouse for Macs or PCs, and will set you back $30. So if you’ve got an ambiguously gay coneheaded unibrowed pal, this might just be the perfect gift for him or his “roommate.”

Pioneer’s Optical Disc can store 400GB of data

Pioneer Electronics has announced that they have developed something phenomenal. It’s the world’s first 16-layer optical disc which can store up to 400GB of data. That’s 25GB in each layer which is equivalent to a single layer Blu-Ray Disc (BD). It is still unclear but it seems that the new discs will be compatible with existing BD Players because of the same specification of the lens.

Pioneer will be demonstrating this piece of technology at International Symposium on Optical Memory and Optical Data Storage 2008 to be held in Hawaii from July 13.
