So I was able to make it to the OtterBox booth where our friend Kristin was kind enough to take the time and show me their new products. They had a few new iPod cases including one for the 5G iPod and one for the iPhone, the 5G iPod one wasn’t that interesting, it would definitely do its job of protecting your iPod though, it was pretty touch, not Armor Series tough, but it was tough.

The iPhone case on the other hand looked very cool, it has a metallic insert wherever there was a hole (the camera, the Apple logo on the back, the headphone and docking ports). All of the actual ports also had rubber caps that were attached to the case and would go into the spaces when there wasn’t anything in there.

The real beauties were the two new BlackBerry cases. They had one for the Curve and for the Pearl (I am pretty sure those were the two models they were showing off). They were yellow and looked like they were from the Defender Series because they were very rugged looking, but they didn’t prevent you from using the device like some of the Armor Series cases do. They are both $50 each and are available now, if you have any of those devices, I personally have a couple of OtterBox cases and I would definitely recommend them.

I’ve seen a lot of outrageous mods lately. Some have been ridiculous and others just out there in their designs. Finally, though there is one that looks stylish as well as functional.

Dubbed the G-Metric Nano, this wooden case mod is built with a Via NX1500 nano-ITX mainboard, 1GB of DDR2 and has a 80w picoPSU. It’s made from cherry veneer and has walnut inlays. It looks to be about as big as a 6-pack of coke and it includes a DVD burner.

Personally, I love the look of it. It comes off looking very sleek without a lot of flair. Simple, in this case, is best.

Introduction:
If there’s anything anyone can agree about the Apple iPhone, it’s this - it’s absolutely beautiful. You spend an obscene amount of money for a smartphone which arguably can be considered a work of art, thus wouldn’t you want to protect it? While it might be a bit late to protect my iPhone from scratches (which I’ve had since the first day the phone was made available in late June), I thought it would be good to take a look at a couple of iPhone cases made by the folks at Incase. Today, we’ll take a quick look at the Incase Molded Rubber Protective Case for the Apple iPhone which retails for $29.95.

For those of you looking for a way to block all signals going to and from your mobile phone (and convinced that turning off the phone won’t do the trick either), check out the “Black Hole” Phone Bag made by the folks at Brando (wow something other than a USB device!). This mobile phone bag contains two slots - a normal slot and a signal blocking slot. When you just want to carry your phone around in a case, simply slide your mobile phone into the normal slot to protect the phone. Now when you really want some peace and quiet and you absolutely want to block a network connection from your phone, slide the phone into the signal blocking slot. Of course.. why not just turn off the phone you might ask? I have no idea…
The Black Hole Phone Bag measures 85 x 140 mm and costs $12 dollars.

- Film protected screen
- Slim premium silicone
- Protected menu button
- Protected Power/sleep button
- SureGrip rear surface texture
- Slow low-profile design
- Integrated earphone/docking port covers
