
The latest prototype of the Dell Mini 5 Tablet has been unveiled. The new gadget boasts a 5-inch touchscreen display with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and a front facing camera. Archos has finally unveiled Archos 7’s specifications. This Android-powered internet tablet features a 7-inch LCD display and an 8GB of storage capacity. The gadget also supports MP4, WMV, AVI, FLAC and FLV. The Archos 7 will be launched in March 2010 for £150 or around $242. [ElectricPig]

Here is good news for Archos 5 Internet Tablet owners, because Archos has released a new firmware update 1.3.07. The new firmware update offers some improvements and fixes including improved support for MP4 and MKV videos, fixed playback resolution issues, and fixed support for full screen playback of YouTube and YouTube HD content. Amazon has started selling the Archos 5 Internet Tablet. In case you didn’t know, the gadget is a 4.3-inch (800 x 480) touchscreen PMP with WiFi, 3.5G connectivity and GPS. The cool part of the Archos 5 is that it supports HDTV out via an HDMI output. Other features include an optional DVR station, Web TV and Web Radio, instant messaging, DroidIn, Twitroid, Deezer for music streaming, Dailymotion, ThinkFree Mobile, etc. The 160GB Archos 5 Internet Tablet is priced at $389.99 each. We’re not sure how many Maemo fans there are in the US, but, regardless of that, you should know that the brand new Nokia N900 is available for pre-order at the Nokia USA online shop.
The Maemo 5 Internet Tablet is priced at $649 and it’s obviously sold unlocked.
For that kind of money, you get a 3.5 inch WVGA touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3D graphics acceleration, 5MP Carl Zeiss camera, and 32GB of expandable memory.


Of course, the N900 also comes with WCDMA 900/1700/2100 connectivity – perfect for T-Mobile’s 3G network.
And speaking of T-Mobile, the fourth largest US carrier might soon offer the Nokia N900 on contract – although there’s no word yet on when this will happen.

Toshiba today rolled out its Journe Touch multimedia touchscreen Mobile Internet Device. Dubbed as the “Ultimate Home Media Tablet”, the gadget comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen display, which is large enough for viewing videos or pictures, and also works great for browsing the Web on the go via its built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. The Journe Touch also provides HDMI connectivity through an optional cradle that enables stored content to be viewed on any HD-ready TV. Remember that Nokia N900 Rover internet tablet, rumored to hit T-Mobile USA?
It looks like the device has just passed the FCC, as Nokia RX-51 – which, according to the FCC documentation, supports T-Mobile’s 3G frequency (1700MHz).
Moreover, lots if images with the RX-51 / Rover have appeared over at kaskus.us, so we finally know what the tablet looks like.
And, as you can see in the pictures below, it looks really nice:




The known features of Nokia Rover include:

- 3.5 inch touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixels (not confirmed)

Neither Nokia nor T-Mobile have announced the N900 Rover, but it probably won’t be long until the new Internet Tablet gets to be officially unveiled.
