Guy beats Guitar Hero 3 using drums

See more funny videos and funny pictures at CollegeHumor.

This guy made this video to prove that he is better then you at Guitar Hero 3 using drumsticks. He has an advantage that you don’t. A custom midi controller designed to play as if you were drumming. He also obviously kicks ass playing the drums.

He’s obviously crazy. I’m pretty sure he’s animal from the Muppets, all shaved down and incognito. Amazing yes. Also amazingly nerdy. What else can you say?

salad bowl speakers serve up scrumptious sound [ikea hack]

While you could fill your salad bowl with lettuce, tomatoes, bacon bits and honey dijon dressing, that would be pretty boring. Personally, I prefer my salads to be made from anodized aluminum, magnets, and wire. Yum.

IKEA Hack Blanda Matt Salad Bowl Speakers

UK modder HoopsOnToast was shopping at his local IKEA store when he realized the potential to make some nifty orb-shaped speakers by gluing together pairs of 8″ Blanda Matt solid birch hardwood bowls.

The speakers get their sweet sound from a pair of full range (100Hz - 20kHz) Bandor 50mm drivers, mounted into the sliced-off face of one of the bowls.

Word is that the cabinets sound simply brilliant, and they only took about 3 hours to put together. And since IKEA offers the bowls in multiple sizes, you could build a full surround sound system using these (front speakers in the 8″ bowls, surrounds in the 5″ bowls, and subwoofer in the 11″ bowls).

iPod Cigarette Case for smokin’ tunes

iPod Cigarette Case for smokin’ tunesHere’s a little something for smokers who love their gadgets. If you have a spare iPod laying around, you too can be very James Bond like and turn it into a cigarette case.

Basically, just remove the guts and replace said guts with butts. Makes a great conversation piece and your be the life of any party. It can be a secret compartment for anything small, not just cigs. This person came up with the idea when their iPod had an encounter with the pavement and died.

Wii64 is one crazy backwards mod

Wii64 is one crazy backwards modSome mods don’t make a whole lot of sense. Why tear out the innards of your Wii, just to put an N64 inside? An SNES in a Wii would still be questionable, but at least that’s an SNES. This inbred Nintendo creation is dubbed the “Wii64″, and keeps the Wii’s blue lights lighting up whenever it is turned on. The Wii64 is currently on eBay, where bidding began with $49.99. It’s somehow up to $64. What we need are more console guitars.

Build your own walking CNC robot router

We would all like to have our own robot. And hey, it’s a bonus if that robot doubles as a cool CNC router. We’ll here’s your opportunity to build your own six legged robot with an attached CNC router for a head. Check out this awesome demo video that shows off the robots mobility while it carves a super detailed 3d human face.

I think this solves the mystery of that huge face on Mars. Somewhere out there, some alien is controlling a gigantic robo-router for their own amusement. The awesome thing is that you can build your own version. The site is selling kits with everything you need. Soon you too can make detailed human heads of your very own.

Double Bike is silly, should only be used by clowns

Double Bike is silly, should only be used by clownsLook at this ridiculous thing. You’ll break your neck getting off of this bike. It’s just crazy and insane. Therefore we love it. You’ll notice that there’s no chain attached to the lower wheels, which means that the upper wheels are generating all the momentum like another set of gears. You’ll also notice that they apparently welded a few bike frames together in order to create this monstrosity. I just wish I could see this dude wipe out after running over small rocks. Also, he really should have a latter mounted in this thing. Is it wrong to want to shove a broom handle in his spokes?

iPhone turned into a robot, likes Techno

This is a video of an iPhone robot, complete with springy tail. It’s a self-propelled iPhone robot that uses a small electrical engine and a Arduino board. It runs on 4 AA batteries and apparently prefers to dance to the sounds of Techo. It doesn’t clean or anything like that. It is what it is. And it seems quite content with that.

iPhone hacked to accommodate a keyboard

Onscreen QWERTY keyboard is always a subjective issue. Probably this Japanese guy didn’t like the fact that his iPhone lacked a physical QWERTY so he decided to take the initiative by himself. He took his jailbroken iPhone, a cheap QWERTY keyboard and modded it to work with the iPhone. Check out the video if you don’t believe me.
