Movea Gyration Air Mouse offers surface-less control

The Movea Air Mouse was announced yesterday and it is to take the computer mouse off the desk and bring it into the air, literally. Meant to be a part of the Gyration line, the Air Mouse is the perfect solution for cramped desktops or mouse-unfriendly surfaces.

This mouse contains motion sensors that make it so you can control the onscreen pointer with the mouse in the air. It’s lightweight and wireless, using a 2.4GHz radio frequency to enable the mouse to function within a 100-ft range of operability. This thing can work through walls, even.

A tracking laser is included as well, so you can switch it up to traditional use if you’d like. You can store the USB RF receiver inside the mouse and it is compatible with Slingbox and iTunes. This makes moving through your music as simple as a wave of your hand. The Air Mouse will cost $99.99 and will hit store shelves in October.

Gyration MotionSense Air Mouse

Gyration MotionSense Air MouseMovea’s Gyration Motionsense Air Mouse weighs in at under 4-ounces and has fancy gyros and accelerometers inside so you can control your computer as if you were playing your Wii, by waving it in mid-air without the need of a wizard’s spell. The mouse uses 2.4GHz wireless technology with a 100-foot range and it’s got customizable buttons and gesture recognition. Two rotational gyro axes and three linear accelerometer axes detect your movements and it starts up in 20ms.

But if all that scares you, or if your arm tires, it has a standard laser mouse option. The Gyration MotionSense Air Mouse will be available in October for $100. One day we will have one motion device to rule all of our devices and our arms will be strong, where they once were weak.

Gyration Music Remote controlls PC and home theater gear

Gyration Music RemoteIf there is one common truth with home theaters — other than lots of wires — it’s the multiple remotes that come along with them. You need one remote to change the TV channel, one to control the volume on your amp and one to control your HTPC or DVD player. It’s enough to blow the minds of many home theater users.

One of the items most home theater owners buy quickly is a universal remote control to eliminate the hoard of remotes sitting on the table. Gyration has introduced a new universal remote called the Air Music Remote with MotionSense that goes one-step further than the typical universal remote.

Sure it can control all of your home theater components using IR remotes. However, the Gyration remote can also act as the mouse for your HTPC as well via RF connectivity. The Air Music Remote is available for purchase now for $179.99 by itself or for $229.99 you can get the remote and a wireless keyboard.
