Clamshell packages are impossible to open with just bare hands alone, but if you use something sharp on them you run the risk of getting injured. Clamshells, however, are nothing to a piranha. Well actually, they’re something. Something to pwn.

The Pyranna chomps down on the edge of a clamshell package. All you have to do is slide it along and it slices the plastic open. When you’re not using it you can close and lock the Pyranna so that the blade won’t be exposed.
It’s good to know that our beloved electronics manufacturers are beginning to phase out clamshell packaging. But while they’re still around, the Pyranna can make opening clamshells easy & fun. What would not be fun is if the Pyranna comes in a clamshell package.

With all the buzz surrounding the impending Apple WWDC show, it was only a matter of time before pictures of Steve Jobs and some new i-Things would leak to the ‘net. So I’m happy to bring you this exclusive first look at Apple’s latest breakthrough in miniaturization. Without further ado, I give you Paper Steve Jobs.

While it’s not the new iPhone 2 that everyone’s clamoring for, the tiny papercraft Steve Jobs sure looks cute hanging onto his flattened 2D iPhone Mini and iPod Pico.

The pulpy little version of Jobs was created by Joe Chiang as part of his wonderful papercraft Toy-a-Day series, which promises a whimsical new paper cut-out figure every day for a full year.

The collection already already includes great boxy versions of Mario, Cat in the Hat, Spiderman, R2-D2 and Optimus Prime among others.

While you can grab PDFs of Joe’s creations on the Toy-a-Day site, be sure to head over to the Papertoys Etsy shop to show you care.
Oh, and one more thing… it really is true what they say - paper dolls and people, they’re a similar shape.

Who knew that the MacBook Air could cut you? It’s not a laptop to be messed with. Piss it off and you’ll get an iCut. At least that’s what some whacky Germans are claiming. Supposedly “Apple Talk” reader Bajuware, was just hanging out minding his own business when his MBA went all bloodthirsty on his elbow.
It looks like it cut him good, like a convict with a shiv! Another German dude says that he can slice bread with his MBA. I don’t know if the MBA can actually seek vengeance on their human masters, but I like the idea that laptops can be multi-purpose tolls in the kitchen. They slice, they dice… I’m calling Ron Popeil. I have an idea.

Zune boys and Zune girls, it’s time to get your collective underwear in a bunch over some hot new accessory action — namely, the Zune Car Pack. The automotive add-on features an FM transmitter, plus a grip-pad and charger, so you can crank your lossless WMAs of Countdown to Extinction without having to take your eyes off the road… or suffer the embarrassment and danger of driving with earphones in. The transmitter stores your two favorite (read: least static-filled) stations, so you won’t have to remember any complicated digits, and can be all yours on November 13th for $79.99.
