Plantronics has announced its new Bluetooth headset model, the Discovery 925 earpiece collection for both men and women. The Discovery 925 Bluetooth earpiece collection is a set of headsets which answer both design and performance needs of consumers today.
Released in unique palette of colors, Onxy Black, Alchemy Gold and Cerise Pink, the 925 earpiece was treated with glass beads and fire-blasted for a deep enamel-like finish. Plantronics must have forgotten that they were actually creating a Bluetooth headset and not a piece of fine jewelry when they created the Discovery 925 headsets. From the photos alone, the Discovery 925 headset definitely looks sleek and uber cool.
In addition to its svelte design, the Discovery 925 Bluetooth earpiece also sports a unique VFrame design which follows the contours of a userâs face, drawing the 925 earpieceâs microphone closer to the mouth. This allows clarity and audibility when talking to somebody on the other line.
Technically speaking the 925 Bluetooth earpiece is not to be taken as just one of your usual Bluetooth earpieces. For one, it boasts of having the capability to deliver exceptional outstanding audio quality for incoming and outgoing calls even when thereâs too much noise in the environment. The Plantronics earpiece also has a noise reduction technology that removes background noise while adjusting the incoming volume. Other features of the Plantronics Discovery 925 earpiece collection include; rechargeable case, audioIQ noise control, self-destabilizing eartips, quick and easy set up, 5 hours talk time and 7 days stand by time.
The earpiece will hit US stores this April and retail for $149.99.

At this point in my life, I don¡¯t know how I managed to live through all those years with my corded landline phone. I mean, sure, it¡¯s still a great way to communicate when it comes to voice but at a time when almost everything is about to go completely wireless I don¡¯t see where it¡¯ll fit. I honestly think landlines would be best displayed in any museum of ancient history, but the XLink Bluetooth Gateway aims to prove otherwise. Using Bluetooth technology, it will link your mobile phone to your landline so that you can answer calls to either phone via any of the two. Meaning, if a call comes in on your cellphone, you can use the landline to answer it. And when a call comes in on your landline, you guessed it, you can answer it via your cellphone. This would be useful for the times when you forget to take your cellphone with you when you leave your room for breakfast, and other such activities that separate you from you handy little cellular. Well, at least the landline becomes useful again. So we¡¯ll have to talk about that museum of national history thing on some other time, then. The XLink Cellular Gateway is currently available and retails for $169.99.

When you think of Bluetooth headsets a price of $5 would rarely, if ever come to mind. Well to be fair, based on the quality of some you may think they are worth that, but until now I have not seen one that actually retails for $5.
While the $5 costs is not for an actual production headset, but instead includes the BlueVox2 QFN chip, along with all of the components that would be needed to create a Bluetooth mono headset mounted on a four-layer printed circuit board.
CSR has announced the BlueVox2 which is mono headset solution. They claim this is the ¡°worldâs lowest cost advanced Bluetooth headset¡± and in turn ¡°offers low power consumption and zero cost noise reduction.¡± It also boasts a whopping 15 hours of talk-time and allow for a connection to not one but two cell phones, which means you can now share one headset between two phones.
The headset solution is currently being sampled and not yet available, but is expected to hit the market during Q3 2008.

While Bluetooth headsets may be very functional, they tend to leave the user looking kind of like a ¡®tool¡¯ however this new military styled headset takes that look to a whole new level.
Thanks to Roadrunner we now have their latest Bluetooth headset that takes on more of a military than a regular guy appearance. The Roadrunner Bluetooth Communicator uses a larnyx microphone which is said to allow your voice to be ¡°directly transmitted from the larynx, with noise suppression of up to 10 dB.¡± It also offers up to 9 hours of talk time with a full charge in as little as 2 hours.
Aside from looking like a ¡®tool¡¯, and in all fairness the headset would have some good times for use, such as when riding a motorcycle. This style headset would fit nicely on the neck while still allowing you to protect yourself by wearing a helmet. The headset is currently available and retails for around $80.

Bluetooth headsets are never really cool looking, well they may look cool, but users generally look a little dorky wearing them. Amongst the best looking, not to mention the best sounding has been the Jawbone from Aliph, and they have now gotten a little better looking. A set of three new models courtesy of FuseProject, the Jawbone will now be available in a white ¡°Trash Talk,¡± a black ¡°Dirty Talk.¡± and a gold ¡°Sweet Talk.¡± All three models will be available in just a ¡°very limited quantity,¡± so if you feel you must get one of these, you better act quickly. Of course limited edition Jawbone or not, you will still look like a dork when wearing these around in public.
Keep reading for a closer picture of each of the headsets¡¦
