Love cars? Love zipping your mouse around your desktop pretending it’s a Mustang? Then this might be your thing Speed Racer. These mice are modeled after a range of classics including the Ford Mustang GT, a Chevy Concept Camaro and a Dodge Charger SRT8. The Road Mice collection offers 800 dpi resolution and will work with both PC and Mac. As for ergonomics, not so much. But they’ll let you enjoy a scaled down version if you can’t have the real deal parked in your garage. They retail for $44.95.

Just a few weeks ago we got a look at a Chevy Volt production model as it was being driven around on the set of Transformers 2. But now, Chevy has revealed the car officially and we’ve got the pictures to prove it.

Check out more images and a video after the cut.

The Chevy Volt is an electric car that doesn’t go parading that fact around like a geeky badge of honor. Instead, this car is slick. Autoblog is even saying it looks like Apple could have designed this thing.

With a 7-inch LCD in lieu of gauges, your dashboard will be neat, tidy and futuristic. Plus, an LCD in the middle of the dash is just plain cool. These displays can be configured in anyway you’d like, and are programmable for more than one driver. The Chevy Volt will make its debut in 2011. I want!

Could an electric car that actually, you know, looks nice, be on the way? The Chevy Volt certainly does seem to possess a decent looking body, and though the spy shots don’t give a good idea of the car’s performance, it gives me hope.

A production model of the Chevy Volt will be featured in the upcoming feature film, Transformers 2 and someone with a camera has filmed the vehicle in action. It appears to have a full moon roof, and the side mirrors appear white or metallic.
This car has been heavily under wraps, so it’s interesting that it’s been leaked. Perhaps this was done on purpose? It’s hard to say. What I can say is that it’s good to see an electric car with a more commercial appeal.

This thing is freaking amazing, its made out of metal, can carry up to 8 people, and each “step” takes it 5 feet closer to its enemy, er, destination. It has a 454 Chevy V-8 engine that powers it with the current final drive ration being about 125:1.

It weighs 6 tons, stands 11 feet tall, 23 feet long, and 8 feet wide. In between the engine and the legs there is a pair of Klune Extreme Under Drive Planetary gear boxes, a Rockwell 2.5 ton military axle and some crank shafts for each of the legs.
There is even a built in elevator, of sorts, to get the passengers and driver up to their seats. Apparently its really close to being done, all I know is it looks freakin’ sweet and I want one.

Earlier this month during CES 2008 Nyko announced a wireless Nunchuck controller for the Wii. The Nunchuck had the wireless built in and a small adapter attached to the bottom of the Wiimote to connect them, giving you cord-free gaming action for about $30.
Now Nyko has taken into account the fact that many Wii owners already have the Nunchuck controller and really don’t need another. For this Nyko is now launching the Wireless Adapter for the Wii Nunchuck. This adapter runs on two AA’s and connects to the bottom of the Nunchuck remote, wrapping up the cord around it. A wireless adapter connects to the bottom of the Wiimote and lets you now use your existing Nunchuck and rid yourself of the cord in between. You can now completely perfect your arm-flailing windmill style of boxing without the risk of choking yourself or others, but of course there is still the risk of hitting them.
The Nunchuck wireless adapter will also save you $10 compared to the wireless Nunchuck itself with a $19.99 list price. Nyko expects to have it available sometime next month.

Alright, try to stay with us here. Guitar Hero III’s axe works just fine with Rock Band, but only the Xbox 360 hardware — and Rock Band’s guitar won’t play the first note on any flavor of GHIII. Yeah, it’s a bit confusing, but apparently the folks over at 1UP were downright tired of being dizzy, and phoned up Guitar Hero publisher Red Octane’s co-founder and VP of Business Development, Charles Huang, to chat about the totally confusing compatibility quandary. We fully understand the complexities in getting the instruments to work with other games, as well as the potential business impact, but Mr. Huang chose to take a different route in explaining why no Guitar Hero title would accept a Rock Band controller. He was quoted as saying that Red Octane wasn’t “too interested in having [Harmonix] guitars work on its game, because [Harmonix is] having a lot of issues with its guitars.” Of course, this logic begins to fall apart when you realize there was absolutely no compatibility even before these malfunctions came to light. Nice try, though.

Ever since we first got wind of this thing, we had a sneaking suspicion it just wouldn’t take off regardless of how clever it was. Sadly, reviewers over at Bit-Tech tended to agree, deeming the Novint Falcon the “coolest peripheral” it had ever touched, but completely unlikely to ever gain steam in the marketplace. During the review, it was reiterated time and time again just how phenomenal the device actually is; the internal motors were able to transmit textures to one’s hand almost impeccably, and it certainly enhanced certain aspects of game play once it became second nature to use. Unfortunately, all that gushing was met with the stark reality that there’s no real promise that developers will ever latch on to this thing, and without guaranteed support, it’s hard to recommend handing over $239. Nevertheless, we’re sure more than a few of you may be willing to take the chance, and either way, the in-depth look at this curious creation is worth a read just to see what you’re (potentially) missing.

Gaming peripherals developer Everglide is out today with a new gaming keyboard/mouse pad combo which borrows some ideas from Razer. The Everglide DKTBoard is priced at around $70.
The Everglide DKTBoard is a slim, backlit keyboard with a brushed-aluminum chassis. Everglide says it uses a “slim keycap structure” for better key response and tactile feel while gaming. There exists on the keyboard eight one-touch hot keys and the size of this input device is detailed as being 402mm x 148mm x 24mm.
The DKTBoard, which comes in two body color choices, connects via USB and is designed to work with Windows machines. There is no information on specific availability.
