Fans of the handheld messaging super phone the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide are in for a shocker. The teen-fav cellphone model has officially been discontinued by the carrier who claims that the Sidekick Slide had “reached the end of its lifecycleâ€. After having served a trouble-prone term, the phone has now been given the boot with the production and sale of the phone being ceased for good. The phone is still being offered in limited quantities at T-Mobile retail stores and though T-Mobile have given customers the word that they will continue to offer customer service for the product, we’re more than sure its curtains for the Sidekick Slide.

Well, looks like Nokia are churning out fresher handsets by the dozens these days and following the clearance of N85, we now have the Nokia N95 also making it past the watchful eyes of the FCC. Featuring Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 networks (EDGE) and UMTS networks including WCDMA 2100/850 and HSDPA, the handset also boasts of class C DVB-H with 470-750 MHz frequency. With a 2.8 inches diagonal display laced with 16.7 million colors TFT and QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) resolution, the cellphone also comes with a S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 UI as well as multimedia menu and active standby mode.

The sweet new slider phone from Samsung, the Messager SCH-r450, is all set to be released to customers by MetroPCS. Company-owned retail locations as well as authorized dealers across the US will offer the sleek horizontal slider that packs in a smart QWERTY keyboard and built-in 1.3 megapixel camera along with SMS, MMS, email and IM messaging functions. Also housing an MP3 player, the phone features advanced voice recognition, speakerphone, stereo Bluetooth wireless technology and a microSD card slot for memory expansion upto 2GB. The phone will be available for the time being only in black for $199 with no contracts.

If there was ever a beauty pageant for cellphones, the Sony Ericsson W980 would certainly win a crown or two. But the beauty of the Walkman Series phone has left its mark on many cellphone lovers just as well and this swanky new concept phone called the W988 is a tribute as good as any. Created by this designer called NightBlade, the concept phone takes the basic finesse of the W980 and takes it up another notch with some rad custom features like an external OLED display that places the walkman on top.

Shots and specs of Samsung’s i7110 phone have found their way to the internet. The all new Samsung i7110 smartphone comes with a new Symbian S60 OS and a jazzy new 5 megapixel auto focus camera with flash as well as a video call camera on the front. Featuring an all-metal frame, the phone sports a Samsung connectivity port instead of the much popular microUSB and a microSD memory card slot has also been spotted on the left side of the handset.
