The episodes will also be available as a paid download in blocks of 5 episodes for $0.99 and a season pass for the entire series will be $3.99.

The $10 mobile phone doesn’t put up with shenanigans

A cell phone priced at $10! I shrieked when I heard about a $10 cell device but when I saw the Hop 1800 I thought that I had traveled back in time. While we are hooked to the vast range of high-end features of smartphones here we have a cell phone that is technically so simple that it doesn’t even have a display. This candy bar phone has only a numeric key board, a speaker grill, a microphone, two keys – one for talking and another for ending calls and SIM card slot. You might not love to flaunt it but simplicity is a beauty in itself.

Crazy iPhone 3G line forms in NYC
The supply is expected to be plentiful, nevertheless a line has already begun outside of Apple’s Fifth Avenue retail store to buy iPhone 3G a week before its release. These people are serious and have their supplies for camping. Wouldn’t it be nicer to stay at home with your families?
Part of the line is occupied by some activists known as “Waiting for Apples” who are hoping to set a Guinness World Record and spread the word about sustainable agriculture. They brought their own solar-power generator, yoga mats, a compost bin full of worms, and probably other hippie essentials. Personally, I can’t think of a better way to spend a week then sitting on my ass next to these guys. Yeah, that would just be awesome…
Look, you’ve got your press, you’ll get your iPhone. Sitting in line to get your iPhone is right up there with camping out for Star Wars tickets in 1999. Your ass is real sore and it wasn’t what you thought it was thanks to Jar-Jar and kid Vader. Plus, a lot has happened in the world while you were away.

Study Predicts Removable Storage in Cell Phones to Reach 26GB by 2012
One thing with today’s electronics and computers that you can never have too much of is storage. In today’s small factor flash storage for cellular phones the capacity tops out at 8GB for microSDHC cards. For some users, especially users of smartphones, 8GB is simply not enough storage space.
Strategy Analytics released a report that predicts a 120% growth annually in the capacity of removable storage for cell phones. In 2007 the max storage capacity was 517MB and the report says that by 2012 the storage capacity will be 26GB.
The report also finds that memory card sales for cell phones totaled 535 million units in 2007, a significant increase from the 309 million units sold in 2006. By 2012 sales of cell phone storage cards are expected to hit 990 million units. Revenue for storage cards in 2012 is expected to hit almost $11.3 billion.

Motorola ZN200 officially announced
Motorola officially announced the ZN200 slider in Brazil. It’s not a bad looking phone. The handset features a 2.0-megapixel camera, microSD card slot, media player and built-in FM radio.
It’s also got a camera key on the side so you can take pictures in landscape mode if you need to. Comes with 30MB of built-in memory and a 1GB memory card might be included in the package. The ZN200 should be hitting stores no later then September in Brazil for about $311 and it comes in white with pink or black with chrome.
