Verizon’s Casio Exilim NX9250 phone leaked in live photo

An Exilim camera equipped phone from Verizon just had to happen. The earlier announced Casio Exilim W63CA offered a great taste of things to come, but the new and recently leaked model pictured here is just as sweet, 8.1-megapixel camera or not.

This Exilim camera-equipped handset is said to be the Casio Exilim NX9250 that’s headed for Verizon (probably) in 2009. We could “possibly” see a WVGA screen with it when it launches, along with its 5.1 megapixel camera.

From the looks of the handset in the second photo (below), it appears that the Casio Exilim NX9250 has some sort of a swiveling mechanism that allows the screen to twist after the clamshell is opened. We’ll have to check and confirm that once we can get a hold on better live photos.

We’ve no idea when, where, or for how much this upcoming phone will be first made available, but if we hear anything we’ll be sure to let you know. So hang tight.

FCC approves Casio Exilim NX-9250

The FCC has apparently approved the Casio Exilim NX-9250 cameraphone for sale here in the U.S. There isn’t much information available on the phone – about all we know is:

And since we’re talking about an Exilim branded handset, there’s a good chance we’ll see a high quality camera on here too. MobileBurn suspects the handset will show up at Verizon Wireless.

Casio Databank gets new colors

Casio Databank gets new colorsCasio’s watch calculators were all the rage back in the day. That was a few decades ago. Casio is hoping that those days might come again and so their Databank series now comes in a whole new variety of colors including black, green, orange and white.

Of course, these timepieces are not just watches, they also feature an 8-digit calculator, an automatic calendar and 25-page data storage. They’ll cost you $59 a piece, but if you like the classic pure-black version it will cost you another $10.

Number crunching geeks may now rejoice as their wrist calculating days are numbered. In a good way.
