I still can’t figure out why the calculator is making a comeback, but here’s yet another example of a new twist on the number crunching device. If the HP Quick calc isn’t enough or the keyboard calculator is too expensive, this USB Hub calculator has the added benefit of being a bit more useful.
Aside from the hub aspect, with 3 USB ports, it also has some other bonus features, like a 12/24 hour world clock with alarm, a calendar and a even a thermometer. And it’s only $19, so it won’t kill you in the wallet. If you absolutely need a calculator, it might as well have a few other functions.

Seems like calculators are making a comeback, though why, I have no idea. Maybe it has something to do with the calculator in your computer and cellphone no longer working in a Mad-Max type future, after a burst of Gamma radiation hits the planet or something…
At any rate, HP wants you to be prepared, going so far as to offer a variety of colors. They’re small enough to fit on a keychain too, so if you have to battle zombies you won’t lose it. Thank God for HP. You’ll be the only survivor who can do math.

First off, a USB calculator is pretty useless. I mean wth, are you too lazy to use the calculator app? Maybe it’s for our parents and grandparents who may not be able to find it. Plus, everything has a calculator built in these days.
At any rate, stupid as it is, this one can be forgiven, because it also works as a 4 port USB hub. It’s available in hot pink(For those who want the color without the Kitty), white, or black. For $16.00 the USB Calculator Hub is an affordable gift for those who may not be able to find calculator app on their own.

People use calculators less and less these days thanks to the function being built into other devices like cell phones etc. But if you are the rare scientific nerd or number cruncher who still needs one, why not calculate in style with a sort of Cadillac of calculators.
The Jet Calculator from LEXON should appeal to design-minded consumers who need a standalone model. It’s made from aluminum alloy and comes in silver or gold finish. The sliding screen is fairly useless and it still has plastic keys with a generic LCD…Not exactly the cadillac of calculating after all, but it does have a certain style. They will be available in Korea in April for about $42 and $53.

Geeks love robots, despite the fact that they will one day destroy us all in a fiery Armageddon. Some geeks also love calculators. Combine the two and you’ve got any early geek christmas. These calculators are designed to look like older style robots and they have alot of personality.
They have a magnet that can hold paper clips, the can hold notes and they have movable hands and feet. They even sport a detachable push button night light. Oh yeah, did I mention that they are also calculators? You can get them in three colors: white, blue and lime green. The price is $14.95. What are you waiting for? Go get one!

Finally you’ll be able to get your new website — BodaciousVoyeur.com — off the ground thanks to this new, totally mind-blowing device: a personal video recorder with sunglasses acting as the camera. That’s right, you can take the streets and record minutes upon minutes of video to the onboard 32MB of RAM (okay, you can throw an SD or MMC card in there for a little bit more time on the clock), in NTSC or PAL at 510 x 482 or 500 x 582 (depending on the format). The glasses, mistakenly described by the seller’s site as “very stylish,” contain a small camera with a 1/4-inch interline CCD sensor, and apparently they will also capture “exceptionally clear audio,” though there’s no specific mention of the kind of mic used. The whole hideous package can be yours for £695.00 (or around $1,400).

Word on the street is that Philips has decided to dip its collective toes into the DVR world with a new line of products that appear, at least ostensibly, to compete with TiVo. Like the “TiVo Suggestions” feature that the recorder-company offers, Philips’ new devices tout user preference tracking, which will “learn” different user’s likes and dislikes, and create custom sets of programming geared towards those tastes. The new line will also be able to access and download YouTube and other internet video, as well as podcast content. Advertising on the new boxes will also follow user’s watching habits, thus ensuring a steady flow of laser-targeted ads beamed directly at your face. Apparently the new products will begin their lifecycle as software for PCs, but will eventually become set-top boxes for the living room. What’s really interesting here is that Philips used to manufacture TiVo hardware, which increases the chances of cross-pollination (and lawsuits) oh… about tenfold.
