FCC gives Nokia N96 the go ahead

Well, looks like Nokia are churning out fresher handsets by the dozens these days and following the clearance of N85, we now have the Nokia N95 also making it past the watchful eyes of the FCC. Featuring Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 networks (EDGE) and UMTS networks including WCDMA 2100/850 and HSDPA, the handset also boasts of class C DVB-H with 470-750 MHz frequency. With a 2.8 inches diagonal display laced with 16.7 million colors TFT and QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) resolution, the cellphone also comes with a S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 UI as well as multimedia menu and active standby mode.

Packing in 128 Mbytes of RAM, 16 GB of internal flash memory and 256 Mbytes of system memory, the phone comes with a slot for microSD memory cards and can easily store 40 hours of video and over 12,000 songs! Set to be launched sometime in Q3 this year, the Nokia N96 is expected to retail for $800.
