xps1330.jpg

Previously only available in Windows, Dell is releasing the XPS 1330n with, for the first time, pre-loaded Ubuntu 7.10 OS. The release will be for Europe first, with North America following suit by the first week of February 2008. The Dell XPS 1330n comes in Tuxedo Black, Midnight Blue, and Crimson Red. It runs on Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5450, features a storage of your choice between 120GB to 320GB in size, 1GB to 4GB SDRAM, and 13.3-inch WXGA display with 1280 x 800 resolution. It could also have 64GB SSD if you want (and can afford it) and it could weigh between 4 to 4.8 pounds depending on the battery you choose. No price tag on the Dell XPS 1330n Ubuntu-powered laptop yet, although for reference, the Window powered counterpart sold for US$999 to $1,399.
