Dell Studio Hybrid makes its appearance
The new Dell Studio Hybrid desktop PC is finally out (at least initially in the UK) and it’s certainly a beautiful looking system. The system is Dell’s greenest desktop PC yet thanks to the use of Intel mobile technology. You can configure the Studio Hybrid as follows:
- Choice of processor from Intel Celeron 550 to an Intel Core 2 Duo processor T8100 at 2.1GHz
- Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate
- 1-4GB of DDR2 RAM
- 160GB to 320GB SATA HDD
- Intel Graphic Media Accelerator 3100
- DVD +/- RW Drive
- Choice of colors ranging from Slate Gray Shell, Emerald Green Shell, Quartz Pink Shell, Ruby Red Shell, Topaz Orange Shell, and Sapphire Blue Shell
Dell UK offers three base configurations (though you are free to customize all you want of course) but the lowest priced system features the Intel Celeron Processor 550 (at 2GHz) and 1GB of RAM for £398.99.
Curiously, there’s no sign of the Intel Atom processor inside these systems. Dell appears to have stuck with mainstream Intel mobile processors for the initial release of the Studio Hybrid.
