China Phone Maker, ZTE, Entered Portugal Market

ZTE, one of the largest telecommunication equipment makers in China, together with Telecomunicações Móveis Nacionais (TMN) launched the Bluebelt II and SilverBelt phones in Portugal. The Bluebelt II is a candy-bar shaped smartphone powered by Windows Mobile 6.5, the latest Windows Mobile OS that was recently announced by Microsoft. This 3G phone features a touch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, and a 5.-megapixel digital camera. It supports UMTS, GSM, EDGE, and GPRS network.

The SilverBelt is a full touchscreen phone with a 3.2-inch multi-touch touch screen. It has 5-megapixel digital camera, MP3 player, and 3G connectivity up to 7.2Mbps downstream speed.

Both phones will be available for TMN customers, but pricing is still unknown yet.
