6 Reasons Why the Nokia N900 Beats the Apple iPhone

A blogger has posted 6 reasons as to why he prefers the Nokia N900 over the Apple iPhone and so is choosing to switch to the N900.

He states the reasons why he prefers the N900 in a simple yet clear manner with illustrations. They include:

Web Browsing- He states that the 800*480 pixels resolution screen along with the Flash Player 9 plug-in makes the N900 web browsing experience better than the Apple iPhone with 480*320 pixels resolution.

Installing Apps

Contacts-According to him, the N900 contacts list provide you with other features such as social networking, instant messaging, VOIP contact list etc which are not available on the iPhone. YOu can also filter using availability and medium on the N900.

Media-While the Apple iPhone media player is nice and plays seamlessly, it plays only a few formats and also can sync only through the USB cable and through iTunes. The N900 however plays almost anything including MKVs and drag and drop is supported which means you don’t have to rely on the Nokia Music PC application. You can also receive the files from friends etc.

Messaging-The Apple iPhone supports both SMS and MMS. The N900 gives you support for Twitter replies, IM, VOIP etc.

Photos-The Apple iPhone camera is bad compared to the superior N900 camera with higher resolution, better video recording, dual-LED flash, lens cover etc. The photo application on the iPhone only allows you to delete or share the pictures. The N900 however has various photo editing tools.
