I know that Asus was unsatisfied with the current Eee Box specs, so the company has decided to produce a new Asus Eee Box with an Intel Celeron 220 processor. in addition to upping the ante by replacing the 80GB hard drive with a 120GB model. The new model will retail for a lower price point - approximately $45 less compared to the current Atom-powered model. There is no word on the release date so far. [TrustedReviews]

Designer Sait Alanyali is a proud Mac Mini user. So proud that he designed his own. One of the problems he has with the current machine are the I/O ports. It’s a hassle to plug things in and take them out. Hence the “V” shape. It puts the ports within reach while keeping cables tidy. The shape also comes in handy by improving cooling as air moves freely through the heatsink.
Hard drives are hot swappable with a 2.5″ hd installed and an empty slot to use any way you like. It also features an HDMI port and does away with the power brick because this one has it built inside. Another new feature is the embedded logo display. It sports a sensor inside that detects it’s orientation, so that the logo is always facing up.
Wow. Pretty amazing design. Chances are we will never see it’s like.

Firebox is known for their oddball gadgets. We’ve covered our share right here on this site. Turns out they’re offering a wrapping paper service along with their gadgets. Crap Wrap features brown parcel tape instead of clear tape, the gift will have uneven edges and paper that was cut very wrong. Just select that type of wrapping paper when you check out and you can send these off to someone special.
The idea is that these gifts won’t look so professionally wrapped. Which will make them think that you actually wrapped it. Because everyone knows you wrap gifts like a grade school kid overdosing on Ritalin, while using the awkward green-handled lefty scissors.
Crap wrap. Not to be confused with crap rap, which usually involves Vanilla Ice.
