The Nokia N96 is available starting today in New York and Chicago in limited quantities. The phone was going to arrive in the U.S. starting with November 7th. The phones are ready to be purchased at 842 but thats cheaper than current Best Buy offers.
The phone is available for online order from Best Buys website for 899. Thats a high price to pay but thats an unlocked device we are talking about. According to certain rumors the phone will be available for 799 in Best Buy stores

While we have some time to kill until Windows Mobile 7.0 we might end up playing with Windows Mobile 6.5 handsets. Thats right thats not a typo. Windows Mobile 6.5 might be exactly the intermediary OS between current 6.1 and the future 7.0
