Rotary dial phones seem to be making a comeback, at least in gadgets if not actual phones. First there was the rotary dial app for iPhone. Now we have the Zihotch Retro Phone Watch, which is a pretty unique watch.
So how do you tell what time it is? You need to make a phone call to find out. Just dial 117 and the you’ll get the time from a recorded voice. Dial the wrong number and you get, “We are sorry, the number you have dialed is not in service. Please check and call again.” It can also be used as an alarm. It can be yours for $79.99.

Wow, I have seen parsecs worth of concept computer designs during my visit here on Earth, but nothing like this “B-membrane” design by Korean designer Won-Seok Lee. He has taken the need for a bulky monitors right out of the equation and opted for beaming your YouTubing onto any surface you can point the omni-directional projector at. Some highlights of this Kubrick inspired mother ship computer include a membrane keyboard that appears when needed, integrated optical drive and when not used as a computer, the projector can beam ambient light effects on any surface you desire.

This camera will catalog your entire life with pictures, based on how you were feeling at the time. The concept camera fits over-the-ear and sees what you see. Makes me wonder if designer Akbiyik Volkan has memory problems, or maybe he just likes to be reminded about what he’s feeling for some unknown reason. Probably just a control freak.
Me, I don’t get it. I have my memory to tell me how I was feeling this day or that day. Then again, these days, with so many people on prescription drugs and otherwise, walking around like zombies, this may be a handy tool.

We’ve been talking about this cellphone for a while, but today Motorola and Kodak officially spilled the beans. As we thought, the ZN5’s a phone that’s as much camera as phone, with a 5-megapixel Kodak unit on its back. This is quick-launched by sliding the lens cover, and has a Xenon flash, auto-focus and even auto-stitches panorama shots. The phone itself has CrystalTalk for high sound quality, Bluetooth, full browser and Wi-Fi (for photo transfers, and the web.) Due out in China in July at first, then globally through ‘08.

After years of neglect, AOL has apparently remembered that Windows Mobile exists and just released a new official AIM client. Though still in beta, it’s supposedly compatible with all WinMo 5 and 6 devices. It looks pretty swank, at least as far as WinMo apps go, and more than satisfying for a mobile AIM client. Hopefully this means they’re cooking up one for the iPhone too.
