Ice Cream scoops become cylinders

Ice Cream scoops become cylinders
It’s that time of year again. Summer heat requires ice cream. Whether you like one scoop or two or even 5, the $14.95 Cuisipro Ice Cream Scoop & Stack is the perfect way to build tall stacks on that cone. That’s because they’ve replaced the round scoop with a cylinder shape.

This allows for higher stacking of scoops and greater stability. Just push the thing into the ice cream, twist and lift out a cylinder of sweet and cool ice cream, then push the button to release. It’s a beautiful thing.

T-Mobile’s Sony Ericsson TM506 gets detailed by the FCC

Well, it’s about time Sony Ericsson worked out something nice with the carriers again, don’t you think? After quite a long time of having nothing do with any carrier whatsoever, it is revealed that Sony Ericsson will roll out a handset for T-Mobile’s network.

This new handset is the clamshell Sony Ericsson TM506, is pictured here with a plastic green trim. T-Mobile’s logo is printed across under its screen, which pretty much sums it up: SE and T-Mobile have struck a deal with this phone.

T-Mobile\'s Sony Ericsson TM506 gets detailed by the FCC

The Sony Ericsson TM506 will rock GSM/EDGE, WCDMA, and most importantly, 3G. It also has assisted GPS on board, built-in Bluetooth, expandable memory and a camera with an as-of-yet unspecified megapixel count.

There’s some evidence in the FCC documents that suggest this phone will be TV and video streaming capable, although things may still change by the time this handset is released.

And speaking of release, we still don’t know when it will be yet. But since the FCC has already approved it, expect at least an official announcement from either SE or T-Mobile soon.

Unicycle Transport looks like a ton of work

Unicycle Transport looks like a ton of work
If you don’t want to pick up a Segway for $5,000, you might want to check this out. It’s a manually-powered unicycle that will get you around town. To onlookers you will appear to be skiing on the sidewalk while sweating like a fat kid in gym class.

You might want to consider the workout tubby, what with rising gas prices. I’m sure your boss will let you park it inside too, to prevent theft. Won’t that be swell? Laughed at on the way to work and laughed at during. Oh, and on the way home. Sadly, it is but a concept, so you’ll have to find another way around for now.

Nintendo is “working on a solution” to Wii storage

Nintendo is “working on a solution” to Wii storage
We’ve seen the writing on the wall and it seems to indicate that Nintendo is working on some USB devices for the Wii, but Laurent Fischer of Nintendo Europe quashed that idea while another option now seems open. According to GamesIndustry.biz, he says that the company is “working on a solution” to the Wii storage problem, but he also says “definitely there’s no plan to issue hardware,” like a hard drive.

So the thinking now is that Nintendo is working on a firmware update that would allow downloaded games to be played directly from SD cards, but no one knows for sure. We may get more details as E3 approaches.
