Unlike most 3D displays, HoloVizio uses voxels instead of traditional pixels. Meaning “anyone standing around the monitor will actually see an object from a different perspective, with no need for goggles or other stereoscopic tricks.” Check out the video after the break. [TecheBlog]

The Homade ChocoCase is an iPhone case that looks like a scrumptious chocolate bar… but is in fact a silicone cover with a screen protector!

This would be a good conversation starter (examples: “How do you keep a candy bar in your pocket without it melting?” or “Excuse me, my Valrhona is vibrating.”) But the raised rectangle design looks like it adds a fair amount of bulk to the iPhone- and we all know that iPhones are pretty ginormous as it is, and that they take up more than their share of pants-pocket realty already.

It looks like the ChocoCase is made for old-skool (as of yesterday) 1.0 iPhones and probably won’t fit correctly on the upcoming 3G version, which is going to be more rounded and a tiny bit thinner. Nonetheless if you’re planning on sticking with your iPhone Classic, you love silicone chocolate, and you want to have an even more deformed pocket silhouette than you already do, then you can pick up this case for $29.99 from gizfever. You get the nifty box with a screen protector and brown silicone iPhone case.

LG, it seems, has accepted that the Symbian S60 combo might help to propel their smartphone business all the way to the top. Or at least, they thought so with the KT610, a QWERTY keyboard equipped folding handset first announced in Mobile World Congress 2008 that runs on Symbian with the Series 60 user interface.
At first, you’d think that the LG KT610 won’t be able to do much, because a small dash of a horizontal display and a huge numeric keypad are all that can be afforded by its unassuming front face. But if you ease open the flap of this side-folding clamshell, you’ll find that you’re in for a bit of a surprise.

Inside the LG KT610 is a larger display, and this is where you’ll be able to operate the smartphone part of the phone. It actually runs with Series 60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1, so Nokia smartphone users will feel right at home. Newcomers to this environment won’t be having a hard time since S60 is billed and famous for being user-friendly.
Also included in the LG KT610’s features is a 2 megapixel camera, built-in GPS and Bluetooth 2.0, full-QWERTY keyboard and microSD card slot.
And now that some live pics of the LG KT610 have surfaced, it shouldn’t be long for the device itself to finally arrive.

This past Friday we broke the news that France Telecom was interested in buying out Swedish Telecom company TeliaSonera for the tune of $42 billion. Turns out that the deal went south.
Marketwatch reported that TeliaSonera’s board and the Swedish government (who own 37% of the company) actually rejected the offer almost immediately. They decided the offer “significantly undervalues” their business; the Finnish government, a 13.7% shareholder, has not yet commented.
Interestingly, FranceTelecom’s CEO was not so shocked at the rejection (talk about a man who handles rejection well!), and said the talks will continue. FT also claimed their intentions were friendly and had no hopes of a hostile takeover. As IntoMobile puts it, “when you think about it doesn’t make much sense when your primary shareholder is another government that may also have some other, non-economic interests.”

If the deal were to go through, this would be France Telecom’s biggest acquisition since it purchased Orange in 2000.
