This concept by Dutch designers looks like a Star Trek shuttlecraft on wheels. The basic idea is that the cabin on top of the platform can move around during a crash, which would hopefully keep the passengers inside safely out of any areas that would crumple and get hit during the impact.
The passengers could theoretically be exposed to much less force and the car wouldn’t get damaged quite as badly. That cuts down on injuries and death of course. It’s an awesome idea if it works the way they think it does. Probably the weakest area would be where the cabin and the platform meet. If they can make that super durable, it’s a concept that should work.

Aromatherapy isn’t a new concept. USB-powered diffusers have been around for awhile. But the Aroma USB makes no bones about the fact that it knows something funky is going on in your immediate area, and like a glade plug in, it wants to help.
Maybe it’s that moldy half-eaten bag of cheetos you call a mousepad. More likely it’s your own BO, mixed with a subtle hint of Hot Pockets. The device has a scented fragrance strip that doles out pleasant smelling air when the air around you gets so bad that it threatens to attract the affections of Pepe LePew. A refill will last up to about a week. The noses around you will thank you.

If you’re an outdoors kind of person, but don’t like to carry large gear, such as awkward and long fishing rods, this gadget is for you. It’s the smallest fishing rod in the world. Apparently, it actually has some quality to it. It’s made of stainless steel and polished aluminum. And guys take note, just because you have a small rod, doesn’t mean you can’t reel in a big fish.
They say it can catch a fish up to 4lbs in weight. When it’s all closed up it measures just 8 inches, but will extend to 37inches. It’s small and lightweight, perfect for the Bear Grylls type to quickly catch dinner and continue adventuring. You can store it anywhere. Can hold 120 yds of 5lb line and comes with hooks and everything else you need to get started.

Todd Weiss, of Computerworld, has a nice review of Make: Books’ Small Form factor PC, recently released at Maker Faire:
The idea is to build around a mini-ATX motherboard, which can be fit inside small containers due to its miniaturized size, giving lots of flexibility for a wide variety of innovative cases. Were you envious of Secret Agent Maxwell Smart’s shoe phone in the old 1960s TV show, “Get Smart?” Maybe you could one up him and find a way to build a shoe PC? Hey, somebody’s going to try it, I bet.
This book shows readers how to build several small form factor PC projects, from a digital audio jukebox in an old wooden antique radio cabinet running Gentoo Linux to a mini digital video recorder, a mini home network gateway, a Wi-Fi extender and more.
Forget shoe phones — how about a shoe PC?

I need an HTC Touch Diamond fast. Apparently the official WM 6.1 WWE ROM and radio for it have been released. Thats at least weird considering the fact nobody owns a Touch yet. Wed love one sure but they arent out yet
Is this for real or just a leaked thing to attract more visitors We cant say if no one has touched the Diamond yet. We might know more when someone actually will try the new ROM version 1.34.831 but for now all we can do is sit and wait for the real thing.

Google is very interested in the mobile world and we already know that. With so many applications which can be adapted for usage with a mobile Google does what they know best and that is to monopolize certain interest areas. Not that its necessarily such a bad thing to do so.
Google Gears will add geotagging to your Windows Mobile phone which means your phone position will be easily located with help of GPS or signal triangulation. Google Gears will do what it knows best. It will h
