Pyxis announces a GPS watch

Pyxis GPS watch

Usually, it’s hard to find a good GPS watch, however, there are a few such as the Garmin Forerunner watch. Pyxis looks to change that by adding in their own type of GPS watch.

Unfortunately, Pyxis didn’t release a whole lot of information, other than that they have created a GPS watch and what it can be used for. It was first debuted at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair 2007. It can provide a lot of help when exercising and mainly for when you are cycling, running, hiking, or walking. For these various exercises, it will tell you about your elapsed time, speed, distance and consumed calories while you exercise. It also works to provide information on a golf course. Lastly, it can double up as a car GPS.

However, no word on pricing or availability yet.

Keepin’ it real fake, part XC: the Sony Ericsson W810i has a little friend

We were actually quite fond of our Sony Ericsson W810i until we teetered over the smartphone brink, so this classy little PMP from Shenzhen Smart brings back some fond memories. Nothing you haven’t seen in a million Chinese knockoff “MP4” players before, apart from somewhat decent codec support: 2-inch screen, up to 2GB of flash, ebook reader, photo support, FM radio, USB mass storage compatibility, and MOV and AVI support in addition to MP3 and various flavors of Window Media. Oh, and let’s not forget the listed “DRM” support. No price is listed, but it doesn’t look like we’ll see this thing Stateside anyway — and you can get a real W810i for peanuts now.
